WAHOO!!! - CROSSED INTO COLORADO and just shy of 1600 miles!!! - so good...

15 miles today – 1591 miles total!
(outside of) Syracuse, KS – Holly, CO

Wonderful morning waking up to coffee and the Lampe family …and SO good to have Jolene Hanson from Denver, CO joining me for a few days!

A special thanks to Becky from ‘Big Al’s Pizza’ in Syracuse for offering to drive Jolene’s car up to Granata, CO so we don’t have to hitch a ride – ALSO – a big thanks to Fred from Coolidge, KS who offered to cook up some FRESH eggs, homegrown wheat pancakes, and home butchered ham during our mid-day lunch break! – dang – (SUCH incredible hospitality in this country)

Ahh, it was so powerful to embrace the big wooden sign screaming ‘WELCOME TO COLORFUL COLORADO’ – can’t wait to weave this walk in and through my home state for the next month in a half!!!! (465 miles to go!!)

THANK YOU Jolene Hanson for joining us for a couple days as we walk into CO!

beautiful old truck on old hwy 50! (just after CO border)

amazing eggs, pancakes, and ham w/Fred from Coolidge, KS!
