The 'Koshare' Kiva has been declared the most beautifully decorated Indian-type room in the world by no less than the Laboratory of Ethnology in Santa Fe, New Mexico. (http://www.koshare.org)

Beth Klob from La Junta (Chamber of Commerce) was simply FANTASTIC in helping us feel 'at-home' in this special community!

Today in La Junta's 'Koshare' Kiva! - Incredible!!

A GREAT stay at the Travel Inn of La Junta!

Thank you Mexico City Cafe for a GREAT lunch today!

Day off in La Junta, CO!

What a fantastic place. A very hot & relaxing day in SE Colorado. It was SO good to visit the Koshare Museum & the Koshare Kiva today. Everytime we mentioned our cause ‘Kiva.org‘ we were encouraged to visit the large & historic Indian Kiva built in 1949. CLICK HERE for more details!

We have connected with wonderful people here and have MARKED this area as a MUST COME BACK place for after the walk when we return to Denver. There is simply too much to see in a couple days!

We will enjoy our evening w/the Miller family (a great local family who found us on our Facebook Page) & get a good night’s rest for our journey towards Rocky Ford, CO.

THANK YOU Travel Inn of La Junta for taking care of us tonight!
