A great day ending early to avoid the quickly rising heat! WE SAW THE ROCKIES for the first time today!! – shed a tear…
Thank you to a family from Illinois for taking care of our dinner last night & for the PB&J this morning. Jolene Hanson from Denver is joining us & we are playing the card game ‘speed’ & enjoying a picnic before we set up camp at the main park here in town! (…hoooope it cools down!)
We will be walking towards Avondale, CO tomorrow and will later join up with fellow cross-country hiker, Luke Robinson of 2dogs2000miles.com)!! …more details to come.
