Hi Jonathon,
Read the 3/4/10 CapeGazette article about you (and Kiva). Very nice. Also saw in your trip plan that you plan to take a two day hiatus in DC. What a smart choice! It’s a city that offers so much that two weeks kinda just scratches the surface. Took a two week vacation there about 15 years ago and loved it and I’m sure you will too. I think that Kanoa wouldn’t be allowed on the Metro there but if there is any way around that snag, I’d certainly recommend a Metro trip. (Its very much like our SF Bay Area BART.) Enjoy Annapolis. By the way the Imax theater presentation at the Naval academy (I think) has an awesome Imax movie about the navy.
I know some people are camera shy, but it would be cool if you could interview some of the people you meet and ask them what they know about Kiva and what they personally do that they think makes the world a better place. Might be more involved than you have time for . . .Food for thought. Have a great time in DC!
I’ve been watching your blog/videos and can honestly say that I AM excited/inspired by your walk because it does spark something in me to travel/walk/experience others and nature – just like you said in this video. It really resonates in me, and thought you should know.
